The Reason

Hello and welcome to my page, thank you for stopping by. I have always wanted to start my own blog and after many years, I decided to start one. I hope that I can inspire you through my writings. I pray that God will continue to bring us together as supporters, a community and whatever it may be that He has in store for us.

This is Me

I am the youngest daughter in my family of six. I turned 31 this year. I didn’t get married the “correct” way, instead I ran away from home. Despite the “disrespectful” way, my husband and I will be celebrating our 11th year of marriage in November. Then in February 2011 we got pregnant and gave birth to Claudia Khang in September 2012. Currently, I am working two part-time jobs, living with my mother in law, enjoying my husband’s continuous love and the growth of our daughter.

I’m sure you were shocked at the idea of me running away from home to get married. The decision wasn’t made right then and there exactly and I wasn’t pregnant. My husband and I dated for a year and because of our long distance relationship, I asked what his plans were for us and he said “let’s get married.”

The part that I love about my husband is that when he has a plan he sticks to it. Of course, that doesn’t always include the plans I have for him, he feels like he is never ready when I am ready. So, when he had popped the question, I was surprised by it because marriage was such a big step and I didn’t know that was the next step for him. Who isn’t ready for who?

As for being a mom, I have always wanted to be one. My husband and I tired for a year and when we decided to give up, we got pregnant. I was so excited when I found out, I started buying baby clothes. To be honest, I was hoping for a boy. However, it wasn’t until I gave birth to Claudia that I saw what God had in stored for me. I lost my mom in 2010 and even though I have my supportive husband, I needed a friend (to be more specific, a mini me).

Thank you again for stopping by. See you in the next post.
