The iPhone 13 line was released in September along with other products but this year I won’t be upgrading to them. The one major reason is that I believe I have the best products from Apple already. I am not a tech reviewer or someone who is knowledgeable in that area but I will share my experiences about the Apple products I have and tech videos I listened to on Youtube.

My first sighting of an Apple product was a 2001 iPod used inside a van for a 10 hour road trip. I didn’t jump on the bandwagon of Apple products until I received my first iPod Nano for my 19th birthday. After that I started to convert my mindset and tech products to Apple because of the minimalist/classy look of their products.

My Apple Histroy.

  1. iPod Nano
  2. iPad Air 1st Generation
  3. iPhone 7 plus
  4. iPad 10.9 inch 6th Generation
  5. Apple Watch 4th Series (current)
  6. iPhone XS Max
  7. AirPods 1st Generation (current)
  8. iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd Generation (current)
  9. iPhone 11 Pro Max (current)

No Upgrades.

Reason 1. Last year when the iPhone 12 line was coming out I thought about switching it because I love upgrades. I saw a video of someone talking about saving money and he talked about the iPhone 12 by saying ”If you don’t have $1,000 in your bank account. Why rack a debt of $1,000 you don’t have?” That broke my love for upgrading but I realistically didn’t have $1,000 to just drop for a phone. So it wasn’t within my family’s budget these last couple of years to get a new phone.

Reason 2. The products I have are doing their job perfectly.

Reason 3. It’s just all about the hype. For example, the new iPhone 13 line has tiny changes compared to the iPhone 12 or the iPhone 11 line that it’s not anything major or life changing. I was very hyped for the iPhone 13 but after watching many tech reviews from Youtubers, my iPhone 11 Pro Max is still the best phone for me. Let’s see if the iPhone 14 will be more than just hype.

If you like Apple, what are your products and do you plan to upgrade?
